Community
IMMERSE has spaces where you can meet other learners, attend social meetups, or practice on your own!
Public Spaces
Language Exchange – A public, all-language Commons where you can interact with any IMMERSE member, regardless of target language or level.
Meetup Spaces – Public scenes that rotate hourly, encouraging users to explore new areas, meet different people, and return for fresh experiences.
Meetup spaces are specific to your selected target language.
NEW: Open-Convo AI Avatars in Public Practice Scenes
IMMERSE now features AI-powered Meta Avatars in Public Practice Scenes to enhance your immersive language learning.
Key Features
AI Avatars are available in all Community Scenes except the All-Language Commons.
Each scene has 2-5 avatars ready to engage in free-flowing conversations.
These avatars are not real users—they have a unique AI tag for identification.
Conversations align with the scene’s theme but adapt to user input and leveling.
Example: In a café scene, avatars might discuss food, drinks, and culture with varying level of detail and complexity to align with the level of input from the user.
AI avatars can remember past conversations, including:
Who you are
When you last spoke
Previous topics discussed
How to Interact with an AI Avatar

Find the Scene Bulletin to view all avatars.
