Study Spaces + Practice Activities

Each learning outcome and lesson in Immerse is associated with ~15 minutes of asynchronous practice activities to help you prepare for lessons and review afterwards. Some have been created by our expert language Guides and others are powered by AI.

  • Flashcards: contain words and phrases that you may see and hear as part of the associated lesson for recognition practice.

  • Fill-in-the-Blank: This activity contains phrases with a word missing and three responses to choose from for quizzing yourself on new words and phrases associated with the lesson.

  • Pronunciation Practice: This activity presents you with a set of words or phrases that you can try to practice pronouncing. After saying each word or phrase, you will be shown how good your pronunciation was.

  • Guided Conversations:

    • If you are a level 2-5 learner, this AI powered activity will allow members to have unique conversations with our Immerse avatars that are focused on specific topics and aligned with the learning outcome. This will be a great way to put your new words and phrases to the test. After finishing the conversation, you will be presented with a score to help you understand how well you did and how you can improve.

    • If you are a level 1 learner, this scripted conversation is a great way to start hearing the new language you are learning in a conversational setting while also being given the opportunity to speak out your parts of the conversation.
