How do I track my progress?
Updated over 3 months ago

The Learning Journey

This is the visualization of your progress through each fluency level as you progress through lessons and practice activities. Different metrics are tracked to give you an detailed overview of your journey in Immerse.

Level Progress

You can check your level progress in your Homeroom to see where you are on your path to fluency.

  • There are flags to represent each level with the distance between them portrayed with dotted lines.

  • These dotted lines fill in bright white as you gain points to show the remaining "distance" to the next level.

  • The view from VR also shows a rainbow progress bar illustrating how many points you've earned for the current level.

Unit Progress

Each unit under the Learning Path has its' own progress bar to show you how many lessons and activities you've completed within that specific language function. Once you've completed everything, the bar will be full and show as rainbow! You'll still be able to continue taking lessons and completing activities within this unit despite it's completed status.

Lesson Progress

Clicking into a unit will show the different learning outcomes related to that language function. Each of these learning outcomes represents a unique lesson for that unit at the level you have selected. Once you've taken that lesson, there will be a green "lesson complete" check mark. This does not prevent you from attending the same lesson again for additional practice.

Point Accumulation

Points are only earned from attending lessons and completing practice conversations. Each level has a certain number of lessons, each with one associated Guide Conversation, thus determining the number of points that will be needed to complete the level. 📈 Are you ready to jump to the next level?

You can use the Immerse assessment tool at any time. Click here for directions on how to find and use the assessment tool. Don't worry, we will also send you reminders to take an assessment once you've completed 80% of the lesson available for that level.

Other Progress Metrics

Non-corporate learners (individuals) can also access further data points regarding your progress in Immerse from the WebApp under the My Journey page. These special trackers total all your lifetime activities for any given language. Notice that the one below is from a user learning English at Level 2.

  1. Practice Tasks Completed - how many total (across the levels) AI Avatar conversations have awarded you points for checking off each task on the conversation list

  2. Days Learning - how long you've had your Immerse account for

  3. Stamps Earned - how many stamps you've earned from filling in every point for a language function (unit) at a certain level

  4. Lessons Attended - how many unique lessons you have earned points from towards your learning journey. Each lesson can only give you points once even if attended multiple times. You must stay in a lesson at least 10 consecutive minutes to earn points.

  5. Events Attended - how many unique events you have attended while learning

  6. Points Earned - all points earned across all levels of the language

  7. Fluency Progress Bar - shows the percentage of points earned towards a level

  8. Language Function Progress - show exact number of points needed to complete each unit of that level
