Who and what is Geo?
GEO is a friendly globe companion designed to assist new members during their onboarding process on our platform. It is a virtual assistant that provides guidance and support to users as they navigate through their placement test and Homeroom.
What is Geo's purpose?
The main purpose of Geo is to help users get familiar with our platform and make their learning experience more enjoyable. It offers personalized advice on which activities to try next or areas where they can complete more practice. Geo also provides encouraging feedback and emotional support as users progress through their learning journey.
How does GEO assist with the placement test?
Geo provides clear instructions about how the placement test works, keeps you informed when scenarios change, and offers encouragement throughout the process to ensure you feel supported.
How do I interact with Geo?
Interacting with GEO is easy and convenient.
Greetings - When you first log in and enter your Homeroom, there will always be a friendly or quippy greeting to help get you excited to hop into your learning.
Wave or Click - Waving in VR, or clicking on Geo from a computer, will prompt them to give a witty statement for your entertainment.
Homeroom Explanations - If you're new to IMMERSE, anytime you go to a new area in your Homeroom Geo will show a hand icon, signaling you to wave (or click if on a computer) because they have a message to share!
What are some current limitations of Geo?
Conversations and Questions
Geo is designed to provide helpful information and assist you in navigating IMMERSE. However, it is not designed to hold conversations or answer specific questions. If you have a question or need assistance, please reach out to our support team.
Appearance and Voice
Geo has a unique appearance and voice that is designed to be friendly and approachable. However, at this time, these features are not customizable. We are constantly working to improve Geo's appearance and voice to better serve our users.
Deactivation, Hiding, and Muting
Currently, there is no way to deactivate, hide, or mute Geo. We understand that some users may prefer not to use Geo or may find it distracting. If this is the case, please provide us with your feedback so that we can implement features in the future to give users more control over their experience.
Access in Other Parts of IMMERSE
Geo is currently only accessible in the Homeroom. It cannot be accessed in other parts of IMMERSE, such as lessons, events, or practice scenes. We are working on expanding Geo's capabilities and making it available in more areas of IMMERSE.
✨ Our team is continuously working on expanding Geo's capabilities to better assist our users. Your feedback about customization is incredibly valuable and helps us improve future updates, so please be sure to send it to our support team along with any questions or concerns you may have about Geo.
