How to mute, hide, flag or report a Member

How to Mute a Member

Muting is available in lessons, the Commons, and public scenes. It will reset if the member leaves the scene and returns. The person muted will still be able to hear you as well as be heard by others.

  • Open your Personal Menu

    • VR - press the X button on your left controller

    • Computer - press ESC on your keyboard or the 3 line button to the top left of your screen

  • Click the MUTE button under the People tab in the Personal Menu.

  • When you mute a Member, you will see:

    • a notification that the user has been muted locally (meaning only from your perspective)

    • a muted tag beneath their name. Only you can see this muted tag.

How to Hide a Member

Hiding is available in lessons, the Commons, and public scenes. It will reset if the member leaves the scene and returns. A hidden Member can still see and hear other Members, including the person that hid them.

  • Open your Personal Menu

    • VR - press the X button on your left controller

    • Computer - press ESC on your keyboard or the 3 line button to the top left of your screen

  • Click the HIDE button under the People tab in the Personal Menu.

  • When you hide a Member, you will see:

    • a Hidden tag beneath their name. Only you can see this Hidden tag.

    • the Member's avatar replaced with a simple disc.

💡Quick Mute/Hide

Members can also MUTE or HIDE other Members by clicking on the name tile above the other Member's head.

How to Report a Member

It is important to us that everyone feels safe in Immerse. If you notice another Member breaking our Code of Conduct or Terms of Service , or if you encounter problems with another user, please fill out a Member Report form to let us know so we can take care of it!
