How can I watch someone take a class in VR?

• Have you seen your friend or family member using Immerse and wondered what it's all about?
• Maybe you've considered jumping into a class or practice scene using your friend's account (but realized how strictly enforced our Community Guidelines are)?
• Do you not feel comfortable giving your credit card information in order to start a trial before previewing what it's like?

We totally get that and this solution is for you!

What is casting?

You can watch someone else while they interact from their own Immerse account inside their headset by casting what they see in VR to a separate device! This allows you to see the VR experience live without any negative repercussions for the account owner from breaking policies they agreed to in our Terms of Service. *Please note that viewing a casted VR experience may result in nausea or dizziness if movements are rapid and erratic.*

Before you cast

• Download the Meta Quest mobile app to your phone.
• Make sure your phone, computer and headset are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • If your Wi-Fi network supports dual band, make sure your devices are on the same frequency.
• Make sure the headset and device you're casting to are logged into the same Meta account.

Casting from VR

To start casting:

1. From your Meta Quest headset, press the flat oculus button on your right controller to open the universal menu.
2. Select Camera then > select Cast.
3. Select Computer or Meta Quest mobile app to begin casting.

To stop casting:

1. From your Meta Quest headset, select Camera then select Cast.
2. Select Stop Casting.

Note: Chromecast is not fully supported with Meta Quest and may not work properly. We recommend casting to a phone or computer for the best experience.

Casting to a Phone

1. From the Meta Quest app, tap Menu then tap Casting.
2. Tap the headset you want to cast from. If you don't see your screen at first, tap Other Devices to search your network for an available device.
3. Tap Start then select your phone to begin casting.
4. Tap Stop casting in the Meta Quest app when you're ready to stop sharing.

If you close the Meta Quest app or open a different app on your phone, casting will be stopped.

Casting to a Computer

To start casting:

1. On your computer, open your browser then go to oculus.com/casting and log in.
2. Put your headset on and press  the flat oculus button on your right controller to open the universal menu.
3. Select Camera , select Cast
4. Select Computer then select Next to connect.

To stop casting:

1. From your Meta Quest headset, select Camera then select Cast.
2. Select Stop Casting.
