Interacting with Objects

Teachers use interactive objects as discussion prompts and active engagement resources for pair and group discussions, role plays, problem solving, and task work.

Any object in Immerse with a white circle can be picked up, placed in a new location, thrown, or used, depending on the scene.

Placing Objects

You can accurately place objects in the scene the “Place” button.

  1. Click an object with your mouse to pick it up.

  2. Click the “Place” icon.

  3. Move your mouse to the location where you want to place the object.

  4. Click to place the object.

Throwing Objects

You can accurately throw objects in the scene using your mouse and the Right Click button.

  1. Click an object with your mouse to pick it up.

  2. Move your mouse to the location where you want the thrown object to land.

  3. “Right Click” to throw the item at that location.

Using Objects

Certain objects have "uses" like eating, pouring, or activating.

  1. Click an object with your mouse to pick it up.

  2. Click the “Use Object" button.

  3. You will see the object being used.

Saving Photos

Photos can be taken by students or with a camera in the scene, and can be saved on your desktop automatically.

  1. Pick up the photo.

  2. Click the “Save Photo” button.

  3. The photo will be saved on your computer!

Tip

Look for your "Saved Photos" in a new Immerse photo folder on your Desktop.
